San Carlos Studio Summer Workshops |

Pets ROCK! Students will create their very own pet animals with the use of rocks
and paint. They will chose from Zoo Animals, Insects, Marine Life, and
Reptiles to create realistic looking, three dimensional painted animals.
Painting techniques and application will be learned while students create
their very own personal zoo! (Ages
6-10) |

Observational Painting Students
will learn how to boldly paint from life, capturing the essence of the
subject matter with quick painting exercises that will build their
confidence in handling paint. They will focus on the importance of
drawing, form, color and value to teach them to visually pull the most
important information from a still life to make it most believable on a
two dimensional surface. Ages 10 and up. |

Scrapbooking Preserve treasured memories with the
exciting world of scrap booking.
Students will choose a theme from: All About Me, My Favorite Things,
or Memories; and bring in
photographs and mementos to create their very own scrapbook.
Ages 6 & up. |

The first camp was so full we opened a second week of Pets Rock! Students will create their very own pet animals with the use of rocks

Sculpture Explore the 3-D properties of sculpture,
including texture, space and volume. Students will experiment with a
variety of materials, including casting in plaster to make a sculpture of
their hand or foot. Other projects include clay sculpture, paper mache,
wire sculpture, and subtractive sculpture. Ages 7 and up. |
